Obama has said that he opposes extending the Bush Tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans. Let me ask a question of anyone who may be reading this...Have you ever received a job from a poor person? Who do you think creates jobs in this country? It is not a poor person. The poor person, if so inclined, will strive to improve himself by learning enough to get a job and that job is going to come from a wealthy person. People who are educated, motivated and willing to work hard are the ones who become the wealthy and they provide the jobs. But what has happened here in the last 20 months? The community organizer told us all that he was going to "fundamentally transform the United States of America." And so he has. In just 20 months Obama has pushed through more socialist policies than we as Americans could ever imagine. But the reason we are still in this mess of unemployment and stalled economy is this: those who own and run small businesses are facing major tax increases in 4 months. They see the writing on the wall with the Bush tax cuts set to expire which means they ill pay more taxes. They are also faced with the new health care laws which begin to go into effect in 2011, which will also increase their costs. So these business owners are faced with how do I continue to operate my business and still make a profit when I know my costs are going up? They begin to cutback or they do not expand. If they do not expand, they do not hire any new employees. They hopefully stay afloat and continue to make money at the same level they did in the previous year. Businesses are not fooled by this man and his radical agenda. They know what he is up to and see right through his statements and false promises. The wealthy are the ones who keep this economy going folks and right now obama is their worst enemy. This man has no respect and great disdain for private business and worships at the alter of big government.

Now, here is a comprehensive list of the tax implications that this administration has in store for us starting in 4 months. It is not a pretty picture.

In just six months, on January 1, 2011, the largest tax hikes in the history of America will take effect.
They will hit families and small businesses in three great waves.
On January 1, 2011, here’s what happens... (read it to the end, so you see all three waves)...
<span style="color: black; There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children.

There are thousands of families with special needs children in the United States , and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education.
Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington , D.C. font-size: 11pt;">they'll be in for a nasty surprise-the AMT won't be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired.
According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center , Congress' failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT taxpaying families-rising from 4 million last year to 28.5 million. These families will have to calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level. The AMT was created in 1969 to ensnare a handful of taxpayers.

Small business expensing will be slashed and 50% expensing will disappear.
Small businesses can normally expense (rather than slowly-deduct, or <span style="color: black; all of it will have to be "depreciated."

Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses.
There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place. The biggest is the loss of the "research and How's that going for ya?

Here is a great article by Neal Boortz pointing out just how wonderful things are going....that is if you are a socialist and in favor of a central planned economy. The facts say otherwise. We are no where near any kind of recovery if you are in favor of a capitalistic society. When is the rest of America going to wake up and realize that this guy's main intent is to ruin the America we know and change it to his utopia socialst state? Pathetic.

HOW'S OBAMA'S "RECOVERY SUMMER" WORKING OUT FOR YOU?

By
Neal Boortz
@ August 25, 2010 9:28 AM Permalink | Comments (4) | TrackBacks (0)

So there we have Joe Biden telling Americans yesterday that "we're heading in the right direction." Well ... from his standpoint, and certainly from the standpoint of his boss, The Community Organizer ...perhaps he's right. Right, that is, if your version of "the right direction" is toward the economic tyranny that will be visited upon us by Obama's vision of a centrally planned economy.
Just take a look at some of the headlines over the past few days:

Home sales in the United States were down in July. This in spite of dirt-cheap mortgages and greatly reduced prices. The figures are the worse we've seen in this country in over a decade. The experts are telling us that we're in for another drop in home values. Welcome to Recovery Summer!

The Financial Times says that disappointing US economic figures are driving a surge in demand for low-yielding assets. I'm not sure what that means, but it doesn't sound good. Here's a quote: "Things appear to have come to a head...with markets braced at the edge of a precipice ahead of key US economic data likely to further unnerve investors already concerned by the extent of impending slowdown." Welcome to Recovery Summer!

This from The Wall Street Journal: Day after day, investors have been hit with more evidence that the economy is stalling. The Dow is down over 4% this month, after an ebullient July that was fueled by impressive earnings results from U.S. companies. The Dow posted another triple-digit loss today and at one point fell below the 10,000 level. Michael Casey has details about the factors driving today's market action. But earnings season is now over and investors are far more focused on potential troubles ahead. What's that Biden said? Oh yeah ... Welcome to Recovery Summer.

Economist David Rosenberg, apparently someone who has earned a certain degree of respect in economic circles, writes a daily brief for investors. Yesterday he said that the U.S. economy is heading into a 1930s-style depression. He reminded his clients that the Great Depression also had some high points such as positive stock market gains .. but then, as now, those signs of recovery were unsustainable and only provided a false sense of stability.

Charles Nenner, founder and president of Charles Nenner research says that the Dow is on its way down to 5000 in the next 30 months. He's saying that things "really look bad for the next 10 years."

While millions of Americans are looking for jobs so that they can start taking care of their families again, Our Hero is looking for over 5% in new income tax that our own government says will affect 50% of the small business income that we need to put to work to grow new jobs. Smart, isn't it?

You saw the jobless claims that came out last week. Try 500,000 new jobless claims. Welcome to Recovery Summer.

The number of subscribers to cable and satellite television fell for the first time in history during the second quarter of this year. People just aren't going to pay the price any more .. not in this economy they're not.

The Obama Administration is no longer using the "jobs created or saved" nonsense to tout the effectiveness of the stimulus plan. There's a new phrase now .... "lives touched."

The Obama Administration has now as much as admitted that ObamaCare will increase the cost of medical care in this country and, at the same time, add to our deficit. Exactly the opposite of what was promised when they were trying to get the bill passed earlier this year.

Is this all working out the way you planned it in 2008? Absolutely NOTHING that Obama and his Democrat dog washers are trying is working. In spite of the infantile ravings of Biden, there is no recovery. Millions of Americans are still out of work while Democrats borrow money for such wonderful stimulus projects as teaching Siberians how to deal with their government. Siberians, in case you were educated in our hideous government schools, are Russians .. and the government we're trying to teach them to interact with is located in ... Moscow. There you go. A quick $200,000 shot to hell by Pelosi's big spenders ... and Obama calls this "economic stimulus."
This is what we get when the idiot voters in this country fall for a smooth talking community organizer with absolutely NO executive experience at all ... and who has often professed his disdain for the private sector ... and we put this menace in charge of bring our economy back.
Would you take your sick puppy to a vet that hates dogs? Why, then, would we take a sick private sector economy to a ruler who hates the private sector?
This is all so much worse than I ever could have imagined when Obama got his crown of thorns in January of 2009. I've seen incompetence before ... but this character gets the gold medal.
I'm telling ya. If the Democrats remain in power after the November election this year, it's time to buy some luggage. If they remain in power after 2012 ... and this disaster of a president gets a second term ... it's time to pack.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://therossreports.blogspot.com/2010/08/wonderful-summer-of-recovery-hows-that.html' title='The wonderful Summer Of Recovery!! the mosque controversy because I did not think America would rise up and make the needed fuss that is needed to fight this, but I have been proven wrong. I was worried that, even though 9/11 happened only 9 years ago, that we as a nation would fall on our short memory syndrom and say "well, 9/11 was a long time ago, maybe it's time we move on" Thank God I have been proven wrong. the American people are standing up in droves and protesting the building of this mosque on the proposed site. We are not protesting the Muslim world's right to build it. after all, our country was founded partly on religious tolerance and the ability to worship freely whatever religion one wanted. What is being protested is the site at which it is being built. But every day there is more and more about this Imam that comes out. things that as Americans we should find unsettling. First is what he said 9 days after 9/11 on an interview on 60 minutes. He said that America was an accessory to what happened on 9/11 and that Osama bin laden was made in the USA. Here is a clip from the Sean Hannity show which details some of the problems with this Imam.

Here is more, he?

Why in the world should Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf insert himself into this controversy when he has the Mayor of New York, the President of the United States, the New York Times and so many others arguing the case for him? If I had that much firepower behind my plans I would lay lot too!

Since the Imam isn't talking about the Mosque ... maybe you can just rely on some of the things he has already done and said. Perhaps you might like to consider the support he has shown for the Islamic terrorist organization known as Hamas. Maybe you might even want to read his book. In America his book is titled "What's Right with Islam is What's Right with America." Or maybe you might like to read that very same book in Arabic! They didn't use the same title .. the book is the same, but the title is different. If you get the Arabic version of the Imam's book the title will be "A Call for Dawa from the World Trade Center Rubble" Now the only part of that phrase you might not understand is the word "Dawa." So let's replace that word with one that infidels will understand and re-state the title to the Imam's book:

"A Call For The Spread of Islam From the World Trade Center Rubble"

Yup .. that's the guy behind the World Trade Center Mosque! That's the guy your taxpayer dollars are being spent to fly around the world on some sort of strange diplomatic mission. A Muslim Imam who wants to gather Muslims in the rubble of the World Trade Center to pray for the spread of Islam. How very wonderful.

Now remember .. a part of that rubble was the very building that is going to house this Mosque in New York City. The landing gear from the aircraft Muhammad Atta flew into Tower One crashed through the roof of the building in question. Who knows? Maybe they've saved some rubble from that very building to enhance their prayer for the spread of Islam experience.

And of course with all this we know about this man one has to ask, why, with all the public opposition to this mosque, with all the media attention, with all of the other 100 + mosques in new york city. why do they want to build it at this site? Why is it so important to them? As noted above, it is a call for the spread of Islam from the world trade center rubble. It is nothing less than a sign of victory, another step towards their ultimate goal of establishing Islam as the world religion and enacting their belief of Sharia law. Thank God, the American people are starting to wake up and see what is going on. And when we have a mayor and a president who both come out in support of the construction of this mosque at this site, especially when a majority of the american people are against it being built here, we have to worry. Our so called leaders are once again out of touch. And when the speaker of the house says she thinks we should investigate where those who oppose this mosque are getting the funding instead of investigating where the money is coming from to build it, then it seems as if all hope is lost.

Our possible and almost certain future, Thanks for the Change

If the first recession that started in 2008 wasn't bad enough, take a look at what a second recession will look like. There will be no rationing. ( I refer you to my post of July 8).
Well I could go on here but lets just look at the lowering the cost. Here is a link to Neal Boortzs' site with an article on how the Democratic co-chair of President Obama's fiscal commission said that the prsident's health care bill will do very little to bring down costs.

And finally here is a link to the John Birch society The 2nd video scared the hell out of me and I surely can not accept the fact that this may be the United states of America in just a few short years where government agents are sent to my home to question me on how I raise my child. Seriously, there is a part of this bill that gives the government the right to send people into your home to determine if you are a fit candidate to raise your own child based on the questions asked designed by government. What does this have to do with health care? Well, remember when nancy peolosi said , "we need to pass the bill first so that we can know what;s in it.?" Well folks we are now finding out what is in this bill. 2000 pages of socialist programs that will make every single American wonder how did this happen? How did we get here? I've said it before and I 'll say it again. Election have consequences. This time the consequences are the possible end of the Republic.

taxes are on the rise compliments of........well, you know

Here is a link to an article explaining the tax hikes that are on the way thanks to the community organizer and the princess and their idea of health care reform. He has bypassed congress and the senate by using his power of recess appointments by appointing Donald Berwick administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. But why is this such a big deal? After all, by this point in George Bush's presidency, he had use this power 15 times. Right now Obama is at 18 and counting. The problem here is Obama promised transparency in his administration. He said that we, the American people deserved to know what our government is doing and why. Well, funny how congress is on break for 11 days and Obama just slips this guy right in. No questions, no nomination, no chance for the american people to hear his views on health care. And just what are those views? Glad you asked. Here are 2 links...the 1st one is an article from ABC news that gives a little background on Mr. Berwick. It includes some quotes from him on how he favors Britian's helathcare system and actually comes right out and says that the "decision is not whether or not we will ration care -- the decision is whether we will ration with our eyes open. And right now, we are doing it blindly." Really? We are rationing right now? And we are doing it so poorly that we need to make better decisions of who lives and dies? Interesting. So this guy is in favor of rationing. Beautiful. Here is the 1st link:

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2010/07/president-obama-to-make-recess-appointment-of-cms-administrator-republicans-attacking-as-expert-on-r.html

Now this 2nd link is a video that should worry you. No, it should scare the pants off you. It is a speech that Berwick gave back to in 2008 on Brtian's health care program in the UK. Watch this and then try to make the argument that Obama is not a socialist. He was the one who just appointed this guy while the congress is on break, knowing that the nomination would stall in the senate and would probably not get through.

http://www.eyeblast.tv/public/checker.aspx?v=XdZukUnznz

This is just the beginning folks. I predict that when the full scope of those plan starts to take shape and is in effect, most of the people who voted for this guy, most of whom favored health care reform, these people are going to be wondering why they can not keep their same doctor, or why they can not get health care coverage from their employer. they will be the ones saying that I had a good plan with my employer, what happened? They are the same ones who will go to get the cancer drug that could save their life but be told that it is not cost effective and the government will not pay for it. They will realize that they are being rationed out and then they will begin to wonder if this whole thing was a good idea. But by then it will be too late. The 54 % of us who are still strongly against this ( Rasmussen poll March 21 2010- 54% disapprove, 41 % approve) already know all this. Hopefully we can reel it back in somewhat and delay much of this by voting out the fools who voted in favor of this horrendous bill. November 2nd is coming. This may be the most important election of our lifetime. Followed by November 2012. Yes, i feel it is that serious and that dire. There is much more in this 2000 page bill that is still not known. Remember Nancy Pelosi insane statement, "we have to pass the bill before we know what's in it." Everyday we are finding out more things that are in this bill that we were told would never be in it. We were told that the cost would reduce the deficit and stay under a trillion dollars. We now know that the Congressional Budget Office has reversed their position on that saying that it will cost more than originally projected. No kidding? A government program that exceeds what they originally said it would. We were told that Sara Palin was flat out wrong when she said there would be "death panels" or rationing. We now see that that was a lie and she was right. What other conclusion can one come to after we now see what Berwick believes and how he is in love with Britain's system? Like I said, it is just the beginning and we are seeing the quick dissecting of America piece by piece and at a much faster rate than I could ever imagine.

I have found several videos today on you tube, some old, some new, that make me laugh, make me sad, make mad. But most of all they make me want to shake a bunch of people and yell WAKE UP!!!! What's wrong with you people???? There is one video that is just plain infuriating and the answers people give just lead to one conclusion: The media played a big role in getting this man elected and many people believed what the media told, or better yet, did not tell them. Take a look at this:

And if that isn't enough, here is another one. This is a radio clip from the Howard Stern Show some time in 2009. Now say what you will about Howard Stern, but this was a great plan to expose people and why they voted for this guy.

And if that isn't sad enough, or funny, watch this. Though it is done in good spirit by Jay Leno, it again shows what trouble this country is in. Government schools have finally produced enough subjects that will be loyal to the government and always turn to government when they need something. Forget about where we came from and how we got here 200 years ago. It seems that everything our forefathers fought for has finally reached a point where it does not matter any longer.

It is graduation time for most universities around the country and most seniors will listen to guest speakers tell them how great they are and what a wonderful career is awaiting them. And of course most of these students because they have spent the last 4-6 years studying so hard, well they know it all now. So why shouldn't they be able to go out there and change the world!! Well, there is one person who dares to tell it like it is, and will not sugar coat it one bit. Neal Boortz is a syndicated talk show host and is known as Mr. Insensitivity and preaches form the "Church of the Painful Truth" Borrtz has written one of the best commencement speeches of all time. The only problem is there is not one university aoround that would have the balls to hire him to give the speech. Here is a copy of his speech as posted on his website boortz.com If you search "commencement" on the site you will also find some video of the speech that he delivered to a crowd in 2009.

Neal Boortz

I am honored by the invitation to address you on this august occasion. It's about time. Be warned, however, that I am not here to impress you; you'll have enough smoke blown your way today. And you can bet your tassels I'm not here to impress the faculty and administration.

You may not like much of what I have to say, and that's fine. This isn't the first time you're not going to like what someone has to say … your bosses, for instance. Things change today. There will be a lot less pandering to your every whim, and a lot more demands for performance. You will remember what I had to say though. Especially after about 10 years out there in the real world. This, of course, does not apply to those of you who will seek your careers and your fortunes as government employees … or as college professors.

You've heard the old saying that those who can - do. Those who can't - teach. That sounds deliciously insensitive. But there is often raw truth in insensitivity, just as you often find feel-good falsehoods and lies in compassion. Say good-bye to your faculty because now you are getting ready to go out there and do. These folks behind me are going to stay right here and teach.

By the way, just because you are leaving this place with a diploma doesn't mean the learning is over. When an FAA flight examiner handed me my private pilot's license many years ago, he said, 'Here, this is your ticket to learn.' The same can be said for your diploma. Believe me, the learning has just begun.

OK .. it's time for you to hear something – to learn something – that may, but should not, come as a complete surprise.

You are the victims of a terrible fraud. You have just completed your travels through an educational system that had no real intention of educating you … at least not too much.

You're pretty hot at research right now, aren't you? While those skills are still with you, perhaps you would like to put them to work studying the start of compulsory government education in the early part of the last century. Do you really think that the goal of our compulsory government education system has been to actually educate you?

Did you study H. L. Mencken? In 1924 he wrote an article for the American Mercury where he defined the true aim of our then-fledgling system of education. Listen carefully:

The aim of public education is not to fill the young of the species with knowledge and awaken their intelligence. ... Nothing could be further from the truth. The aim … is simply to reduce as many individuals as possible to the same safe level, to breed and train a standardized citizenry, to put down dissent and originality. That is the aim in the United States and that is its aim everywhere else.

Think about this. Who owns the schools? The government. Who mandates attendance? The government. Who staffs the schools? The government … with government workers. Who directs the work of the schools? The government. Can you see where it is in the best interests of government to suppress dissent and originality? Can you understand why government would want a standardized citizenry? Those who dissent; those who produce originality of thought; those who exceed the standards are a threat to what? The status quo, that's what … and government likes the calming influence of the status quo.

There's an amazing book that you need to put at the top of your reading list … now that you don't have to focus on college texts any more. The book is by John Taylor Gatto, and it's called "The Underground History of American Education." Gatto was the teacher of the year in New York City. He wrote an extraordinary letter to the Wall Street Journal in 2001. Let me share the first part of that letter with you:

I've taught public school for 26 years but I just can't do it anymore. For years I asked the local school board and superintendent to let me teach a curriculum that doesn't hurt kids, but they had other fish to fry. So I'm going to quit, I think.

I've come slowly to understand what it is I really teach: A curriculum of confusion, class position, arbitrary justice, vulgarity, rudeness, disrespect for privacy, indifference to quality, and utter dependency. I teach how to fit into a world I don't want to live in.

I just can't do it anymore. I can't train children to wait to be told what to do; I can't train people to drop what they are doing when a bell sounds; I can't persuade children to feel some justice in their class placement when there isn't any, and I can't persuade children to believe teachers have valuable secrets they can acquire by becoming our disciples. That isn't true.

Just google "I quit, I think" and you can read the rest of Gatto's letter to the Wall Street Journal. You've been had .. big time. Read the letter. You'll see how ---- and how bad.

Can you see why government would want to keep you dumbed down and placated? Gatto's book explains it all. He talks about the effort to bring the Prussian style of education to the United States in the early 1900s. He describes his shock that Americans were to eager to adopt what he calls "one of the very worst aspects of Prussian culture … an educational system deliberately designed to produce mediocre intellects, to hamstring the inner life, to deny students appreciable leadership skills, and to ensure docile and incomplete citizens in order to render the populace "manageable."

So … do you think you know enough to be a threat to the ruling class?

How many of you can name your two US Senators? How about the Vice President? Who is your congressman? How often is he elected? Can you give me the gist of the 10th Amendment?

Am I trying to insult you here? No, I'm trying to illustrate something.

What are the three branches of government? Who officially represents the government of this state – not the people, the government -- in Washington?

How strong is your economic knowledge? Do you believe that the rich should pay their fair share? If so, can you tell me what percentage of total income the hated top 1% earns and what percentage of income taxes they pay? If you can't, don't worry too much. I've interviewed presidential candidates who can't tell you.

Here's a toughie …. What is the difference between a profit and a profit margin? Do corporations pay taxes? If so, where do they get the money?

A person who cannot answer virtually all of these questions is a person who is going to present absolutely no threat at all to current political thought. This is a person who will repeat government feel-good slogans and political mantras .. and then turn to a discussion of the last episode of "Lost."

Feeling pretty good about your education now, aren't you?

Now, I realize that most of you consider yourselves Liberals. In fact, you are probably very proud of your liberal views. You care so much. You feel so much. You want to help so much. After all, you're a compassionate and caring person, aren't you now? Well, isn't that just so extraordinarily special. Now, at this age, is as good a time as any to be a Liberal; as good a time as any to know absolutely everything. You have plenty of time, starting tomorrow, for the truth to set in. Over the next few years, as you begin to feel the cold breath of reality down your neck, things are going to start changing pretty fast .. including your own assessment of just how much you really know.

So here are the first assignments for your initial class in post-graduate reality: Pay attention to the news, read newspapers – as long as we have newspapers -- and listen to the words and phrases that proud Liberals use to promote their causes. Then compare the words of the left to the words and phrases you hear from those evil, heartless, greedy conservatives. From the Left you will hear "I feel." From the Right you will hear "I think." From the Liberals you will hear references to groups --The Blacks, The Poor, The Rich, The Disadvantaged, The Less Fortunate. From the Right you will hear references to individuals. On the Left you hear talk of group rights; on the Right, individual rights.

That about sums it up, really: Liberals feel. Liberals care. They are pack animals whose identity is tied up in group dynamics and the principal of looting. Conservatives and Libertarians think -- and, setting aside the theocracy crowd, their identity is centered on the individual – individual worth and achievement.

Liberals feel that their favored groups, have enforceable rights to the property and services of productive individuals. Conservatives (and Libertarians, myself among them I might add) think that individuals have the right to protect their lives and their property from the plunder of the masses.

In college you developed a group mentality, but if you look closely at your diplomas you will see that they have your individual names on them. Not the name of your school mascot, or of your fraternity or sorority, but your name. This group identity nonsense needs to go away … now. Your recognition and appreciation of your individual identity should begin immediately.

There's a chance that, over the next eight to ten years, the lessons of life will not have brought you to the rational thinking processes of a libertarian or a conservative. If you find that to be your reality when you reach the age of 30 … 35 tops … then you need to rush right back here as quickly as you can and apply for a faculty position. These people will welcome you with open arms. They will welcome you, that is, so long as you haven't developed an individual identity. Once again you will have to be willing to sign on to the group mentality you embraced during the past four years.

Something is going to happen soon that is going to really open your eyes. You're going to actually get a full time job! You're also going to find that you have a partner. This partner isn't going to help you do your job. This partner is just going to sit back and wait for payday. This partner doesn't want to share in your effort -- just your earnings.

Your new lifelong partner is actually an agent; an agent representing a strange and diverse group of people. An agent for every single mother raising an illegitimate child. An agent for a research scientist who wanted to make some cash answering the age-old question of why monkeys grind their teeth. An agent for some poor aging hippie who considers herself to be a meaningful and talented artist ... but who just can't manage to sell any of her artwork on the open market.

Your new partner is an agent for every person with limited, if any, job skills; for every person who ignored all proffered educational opportunities, for every loser dreaming of nothing more than a job at City Hall. Your partner will be an agent for tin-horn dictators in fancy military uniforms grasping for American foreign aid. An agent for multi-million-dollar companies who want someone else to pay for their overseas advertising. An agent for everybody who wants to use the unimaginable power of this agent's for their personal enrichment and benefit.

That agent is our wonderful, caring, compassionate, oppressive Imperial Federal Government. Believe me, you will be awed by the unimaginable power this agent has. Power that you do not have. A power that no individual has, will have or should have. This agent has the legal power to use force – deadly force – to accomplish its goals.

You have no choice here. Your new friend is just going to walk up to you, introduce itself rather gruffly, hand you a few forms to fill out, and move right on in. Say hello to your own personal one ton gorilla with a gun. It will sleep anywhere it wants to.

Now, let me tell you, this agent is not cheap. As you become successful it will seize about 40% of everything you earn. And no, I'm sorry, there just isn't any way you can fire this agent of plunder, this looter, and you can't decrease it's share of your income. That power rests with him, not you.

Does it bother you that I'm not particularly fond of our government? Well, be clear on this: It is not wrong to distrust government. It is not wrong to fear government. In certain cases it is not even wrong to despise government for government is inherently evil. Oh yes, I know it's a necessary evil, but it is dangerous nonetheless ... somewhat like a drug. Just as a drug that in the proper dosage can save your life, an overdose of government can be fatal.

Now – let's address a few things that have been crammed into your minds at this university. There are some ideas you need to expunge as soon as possible. These ideas may work well in academic environment, but they fail miserably out there in the real world.

First – that favorite buzz word of the media, government and academia: Diversity!

You have been taught that the real value of any group of people - be it a social group, an employee group, a management group, whatever - is based on diversity. This is a favored liberal ideal because diversity is based not on an individual's abilities or character, but on a person's identity and status as a member of a group. Yes – it's that liberal group identity thing again.

Within the great diversity movement group identification - be it racial, gender based, one of the fourteen different classifications of sexual proclivities, or some other minority status - means more than the individual's integrity, character or other qualifications.

Brace yourself. You are about to move from this academic atmosphere where diversity rules, to a workplace and a culture where individual achievement and excellence actually count. No matter what your professors have taught you over the last four years, you are about to learn that diversity is absolutely no replacement for excellence, ability, and individual hard work. Unless, of course, you are working for the government or academia.

From this day on every single time you hear the word "diversity" you can rest assured that there is someone close by who is determined to rob you of every vestige of individuality you possess.

We also need to address this thing you seem to have about "rights." We have witnessed an obscene explosion of so-called "rights" in the last few decades, usually emanating from college campuses.

You know the mantra: You have the right to a job. The right to a place to live. The right to a living wage. The right to health care. The right to an education. You probably even have your own pet right - the right to a Beemer, for instance, or the right to have someone else provide for that child you plan on downloading in a year or so.

Forget it. Forget those rights! I'll tell you what your rights are! You have a right to live free, and you have a right to whatever wealth you are able to produce with your labor. You'll be disappointed to learn that you have no right to any portion of the life or labor of another.

You may think, for instance, that you have a right to health care. After all, the president said so, didn't he? But you cannot receive health care unless some doctor or health practitioner surrenders some of his time - his life - to you. He may be willing to do this for compensation, but that's his choice. You have no "right" to his time or property. You have no right to any portion of his or any other person's life.

You may also think you have some "right" to a job; a job with a living wage, whatever that is. Do you mean to tell me that you have a right to force your services on another person, and then the right to demand that this person compensate you with their money? What if he doesn't need your services? I can't wait for you to point that one out for me in our Constitution. I sure would like to be a fly on the wall when some urban outdoorsmen (that would be "homeless person" for those of you who don't want to give these less fortunate people a romantic and adventurous title) came to you and demanded his job and your money.

And while I'm on the subject of jobs … let's straighten out a bit of a misconception you may have. Jobs belong to the employer, not to the employee. You will go "look" for a job. Well, if the job belonged to you wouldn't have to look very far would you? Businessmen create those jobs. The jobs belong to them, not you. They will, with conditions, offer you that job if they believe them to be capable. And guess what? They're not going to pay you what you're worth. They're going to pay you less. Know why? Because if every employer out there paid every employee exactly what that employee was worth, where is the profit for the employer? You are there to make money for the person who gave you the job. To do that you have to produce wealth. You get a good portion of it … but some must go to the employer. There is simply no other reason to hire you. And another thing … there is no "shipping OUR jobs overseas." They are the employer's jobs, not yours. They can do with them what they wish. Get used to it.

The people who have been telling you about all the rights you have are simply exercising one of theirs - the right to be imbeciles. Their being imbeciles didn't cost anyone else either property or time. It's their right, and they exercise it brilliantly.

By the way, did you catch my use of the phrase "less fortunate" a bit ago when I was talking about the urban outdoorsmen and the poor, poor, pitiful, pathetic poor? That phrase is a favorite of the Left. Think about it, and you'll understand why.

To imply that one person is homeless, destitute, dirty, drunk, spaced out on drugs, unemployable, and generally miserable because he is "less fortunate" is to imply that a successful person - one with a job, a home and a future - is in that position because he or she was "fortunate." The dictionary says that fortunate means "having derived good from an unexpected place." There is nothing unexpected about deriving good from hard work. There is also nothing unexpected about deriving misery from choosing drugs, alcohol, and the street instead of education and personal responsibility.

If the Left can create the common perception that success and failure are simple matters of "fortune" or "luck," then it is easy to promote and justify their various income seizure and redistribution schemes. After all, you didn't work for the money, did you? You were just lucky, and here we are just evening out the odds a little bit, aren't we?

This "success equals luck" idea the liberals like to push is seen everywhere. One time Democrat presidential candidate Richard Gephardt liked to refer to high-achievers as "people who have won life's lottery." He wanted you to believe they are making the big bucks because they are lucky; all they did was buy the right lottery ticket. What an insult this is to the man or woman who works that 60 hour week to provide for a family.

It's not luck, my friends. It's choice. One of the greatest lessons I ever learned was in a book by Og Mandino, entitled "The Greatest Secret in the World." The lesson? Very simple: "Use wisely your power of choice."

That bum sitting on a heating grate, smelling like a wharf rat? He's there by choice. He is there because of the sum total of the choices he has made in his life. This truism is absolutely the hardest thing for some people to accept, especially those who consider themselves to be victims of something or other - victims of discrimination, bad luck, the system, capitalism, whatever. After all, nobody really wants to accept the blame for his or her position in life. Not when it is so much easier to point and say, "Look! He did this to me!" than it is to look into a mirror and say, "You S.O.B.! You did this to me!"

The key to accepting responsibility for your life is to accept the fact that your choices, every one of them, are leading you inexorably to either success or failure, however you define those terms.

Some of the choices are obvious: Whether or not to stay in school. Whether or not to get pregnant. Whether or not to hit the bottle. Whether or not to keep this job you hate until you get another better-paying job. Whether or not to save some of your money, or saddle yourself with huge payments for that new car.

Some of the choices are seemingly insignificant: Whom to go to the movies with. Whose car to ride home in. Whether to watch the tube tonight, or read a book on investing. But, and you can be sure of this, each choice counts. Each choice is a building block - some large, some small. But each one is a part of the structure of your life. If you make the right choices, or if you make more right choices than wrong ones, something absolutely terrible may happen to you. Something unthinkable. You, my friend, could become one of the hated, the evil, the ugly, the feared, the filthy, the successful, the rich.

Quite a few people have followed that tragic path.

The rich basically serve two purposes in this country. First, they provide the investments, the investment capital, and the brains for the formation of new businesses. Businesses that hire people. Businesses that send millions of paychecks home each week to the un-rich.

Second, the rich are a wonderful object of ridicule, distrust, and hatred. Few things are more valuable to a politician than the envy most Americans feel for the evil rich.

Envy is a powerful emotion. Politicians use envy to get votes and power. And they keep that power by promising the envious that the envied will be punished: "The rich will pay their fair share of taxes if I have anything to do with it.'

The truth is that the top 10% of income earners in this country pays almost 50% of all income taxes collected. I shudder to think what these job producers would be paying if our tax system were any more "fair."

You have heard, no doubt, that in America the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Interestingly enough, our government's own numbers show that many of the poor actually get richer, and that quite a few of the rich actually get poorer. But for the rich who do actually get richer, and the poor who remain poor ... there's an explanation -- a reason. The rich, you see, keep doing the things that make them rich; while the poor keep doing the things that make them poor.

Speaking of the poor, during your adult life you are going to hear an endless string of politicians bemoaning the plight of the poor in America. So, you need to know that under our government's definition of "poor" you can have a $5 million net worth, a $900,000 paid-for home and a new $160,000 Bentley, all completely paid for. You can also have a maid, cook, and valet, and $10 million in a checking account, and you can still be officially defined by our government as "living in poverty." Now there's something you haven't seen on the evening news.

How does the government pull this one off? Very simple, really. To determine whether or not some poor soul is "living in poverty," the government measures one thing -- just one thing. Income. It doesn't matter one bit how much you have, how much you own, how many cars you drive or how big they are, whether or not your pool is heated, whether you winter in Aspen and spend the summers in the Bahamas, or how much is in your savings account. It only matters how much income you claim in that particular year. This means that if you take a one-year leave of absence from your high-paying job and decide to live off the money in your savings and checking accounts while you write the next great American novel, the government says you are 'living in poverty."

This isn't exactly what you had in mind when you heard these gloomy statistics, is it?

Do you need more convincing? Try this. The government's own statistics show that people who are said to be "living in poverty" spend more than $1.50 for each dollar of income they claim. Something is a bit fishy here. just remember all this the next time Katie Couric puffs up and tells you about some hideous new poverty statistics.

And please remember this: The average person in this country described as "poor" has a higher standard of living than the average European. Not the average "poor" European, the average European.

Why has the government concocted this phony poverty scam? Because the government needs an excuse to grow and to expand its social welfare programs, which translates into an expansion of its power. If the government can convince you, in all your compassion, that the number of "poor" is increasing, it will have all the excuse it needs to sway an electorate suffering from the advanced stages of Obsessive-Compulsive Compassion Disorder.

Well, it looks like I'm about to be given the hook. The faculty looks a little angry. Come to think of it … some of you look a little ticked off too. Are you starting to get it? The fun times are fading … it's time to get down to business, and the people you will be working for have a much tighter grip on reality than these people who have been teaching you for the past years have. Why don't you try occupying the boss's office the next time something doesn't go your way. Let us all know how that works out for you.

Well … I'm guessing that they've already changed their minds about that honorary degree I was going to get. That's OK, though. I still have my Ph.D. in Insensitivity from the Neal Boortz Institute for Insensitivity Training. You're about to start studying for yours. I learned that, in short, sensitivity sucks. It's a trap. Think about it - the truth knows no sensitivity. Life can be insensitive. Wallow too much in sensitivity and you'll be unable to deal with life, or the truth. So, get over it.

Now, before the dean has me shackled and hauled off, I have a few random thoughts.

1. You need to register to vote, unless you're part of the moocher class. If you are living off the efforts of others, please do us the favor of sitting down and shutting up until you are on your own again. While we're paying the bills you can keep your gripes to yourself. As long as we're taking care of you we would appreciate it if you would just sit down, shut up and get a skill. Or have the decency to just stay out of our way so we can get the job done.

2. When you do vote, your votes for the House and the Senate are more important than your vote for president. The House controls the purse strings, so concentrate your awareness there. Try to put as much importance on learning your congressman's name as you do remembering the name of your aerobics or yoga instructor.

3. Don't bow to the temptation to use the government as an instrument of plunder. If it is wrong for you to take money from someone else who earned it -- to take their money by force for your own needs -- then it is certainly just as wrong for you to demand that the government step forward and do this dirty work for you.

4. Don't look in other people's pockets. You have no business there. What they earn is theirs. What you manage to earn is yours. Keep it that way. Nobody owes you anything, except to respect your privacy and your rights, and leave you the hell alone.

5. Speaking of earning, the revered 40-hour workweek is for losers. Forty hours should be considered the minimum, not the maximum. You don't see highly successful people clocking out of the office every afternoon at five. The losers are the ones caught up in that afternoon rush hour. The winners drive home in the dark.

6. Free speech is meant to protect unpopular speech. Popular speech, by definition, needs no protection.

7. Finally (and aren't you glad to hear that word), as Og Mandino wrote,

1. Proclaim your rarity. Each of you is a rare and unique human being.

2. Use wisely your power of choice.

3. Go the extra mile ... drive home in the dark.

Care as much about America's future as you do about American Idol.

Oh, and put off buying that flat screen as long as you can.

Now, if you have any idea at all what's good for you, you will get the hell out of here and never come back.

Class dismissed.

Steve Wynn is a strong and savvy Let's see what is going on in the world.....

So all of the sudden Immigration reform has become the hot button item that this administration wants to get done.Just the other day it was financial reform. Ok, to be fair, financial reform is still the flavor of the week, but with the passing of the new arizona law taking a hard stance on illegal immigrants, it has really stirred the pot. All of the sudden you have a multitude of immigrants, some legal I'm sure, and some illegal up in arms and raising all kinds of hell in the streets of Arizona. But you would never know there was trouble because most of the media chooses to ignore it. It does not fit their agenda and go along with what the Obama administration wants. But you get a tea party rally going, and all of the sudden there are reports of how violent , angry and crazy these people are and that they are a dangerous uprising. But there are no reports of anyone of these tea party people being arrested or any video of these people shouting racial epithets or spitting on members of congress which was widely reported. And to this day Andrew Brietbarts offer of $100000 still stands for anyone who can offer video proof that any of these incidents occurred. The fact is they did not. The tea party people have been a peaceful passionate group. They know that the media and the left are out there just waiting for someone to loose it. The left (and probably some of those in the media) are trying to incite it. Just as in sports, they know it is almost always the 2nd person who gets caught for retaliating at what the 1st person did. So with this in mind, take a look at this video of a protest in Arizona that could have turned into a riot. Notice the name calling, and the pushing of police officers, not to mention one police officer being hit in the head by a flying object. But did you see any of this on the main network news? Yea, and the tea party people are the ones we should worry about.

Now go back at read the 1st few sentences of this post again. What is this all about? ILLEGAL Immigrants!! Since when did it become such a problem for a police officer to question whether or not, with probable cause, whether or not someone is here in this country legally or illegally? The way the law is written now, a police officer can ask if, he has reason to believe, that someone may be in this country illegally. Before he could not. Many people are afraid this will lead to profiling , but i think the way the law is written, it is with reason to believe or suspect that an officer can now act. I get the fact that most people in Mexico would like to come to the United states to escape the plight of their lives in Mexico. But do it legally. There is something else going on here other than this law. Immigrants especially the illegal ones, are upset because they will now be held accountable for being here. They have enjoyed the ease of the lack of enforcement from the federal government and have reaped all the benefits. And let's face it, the federal government has done a horrible job of protecting our borders. But, the main reason this is such a hot button item right now is that it upsets the balance of power which until this law was passed, the democrats were perfectly happy to sit back and let all the immigrants that could to come into the country. Why? Because like it or not, many of these people try to vote and also get to vote. How? How could this happen? You can't vote if you are not a citizen of this country. Well part of coming into this country illegally is acquiring fake names and addresses and once that is obtained(usually through underground methods on both sides of the border), the ball keeps rolling until you get a job, and a lot of the time your pay is cash under the table. Then you seek health care but have no insurance; but you have a fake name and address so as far as the hospital is concerned you are a citizen , even more so now with Obamacare. And the Cost of taking care of all these immigrants begins to take it's toll. This includes all the people who have been caught and sitting in US jails at taxpayer expense waiting for deportation or for a court date. Then there is the cost of crime, drugs, drug dealers, gangs, and the cost to protect against all this just keeps rising. But what about that voting thing? The left is happy to sit back and allow this to happen because it brings them more votes. Whether it's legally or illegally , they do not care. They just want t he votes to keep them in power. This is why they are in favor of an amnesty bill, which would allow those already here illegally to become citizens and stay. What a win/win for both sides....the immigrant gets what he wants citizenship without the work and the politician gets what he wants, votes.

The new Arizona law has passed but does not go into effect for a few months giving the federal government enough time to review it and repeal it should they deem it unconstitutional. Yea, just what we need, more big government stepping into the states business. Boy, with everything that this administration has done in the past 16 months, our founding fathers must be shaking their heads asking, what did we fight for if this was going to be the result?

So last week I wrote a post about Obama's decision to reduce our nuclear arms and how I felt that the United states has become a much weaker country while the rest of the evil part of the world proceeds to acquire nuclear weapons at any cost. I did not post the report because I decided I wanted to see how it played out. Well, NOW I know. This president President Obama wants a world without nuclear weapons. So did President Reagan. The similarities end there. Reagan understood his adversaries. Obama does not. (Headline From the Heritage Foundation.
Find the article here.http://blog.heritage.org/2010/04/12/morning-bell-obama-is-no-reagan-on-nuclear-strategy/)

For the last 2 days he held a nuclear summit in Washington where he claims success because he was able to get 42 heads of state from other countries to come here and " agree to secure all loose nuclear materials in the next 4 years". Boy, what an accomplishment. So tell me, just how does he intend to measure this? Are we all going to count all the material and actually see it it being secured and dismantled, or are we just going to accept the fact that because we all agreed to it in early 2010 that it will be done? what a fool! Not only has this so called president weakened this country, he has emboldened our enemies mostly the terrorists who can not believe how easy it is becoming now to plan and attack the United States! At least with George Bush they had something to fear, they knew that if they attacked, we would retaliate with a swift response and come after them, but now, it is like Christmas morning ( oh sorry, Ramadan) for them with the gift of Obama as President.
And after he signed this treaty of reducing our nuclear arms, he and Secretary Clinton come out with a statement that says The threat of nuclear arms in the hands of terrorists is higher now than ever. Well isn't that just peachy? What a better time to reduce our weapons and declare that we will not strike even if we are hit with a weapon mass destruction!
I don't know about you, but i am scared of this administration. The dismantling of this country has happened at a very rapid pace over the past 16 months. If we do not do something this November to turn the tide in the house and senate, then the United States of America will cease to exist and we will become a socialist country just like Europe has become. Didn't our forefathers fight to separate ourselves from Britain because we wanted freedom? Didn't they fight valiantly to begin a new nation that would be free to build a self sustaining life of riches? Since when did rich become such a bad word? when did it become such a bad thing to work hard to get ahead in life? Where did it become cool to expect that government was the cure for what ales you and to expect that those with riches should give those without some of their hard earned money? November 2nd is coming. And you and I have the power of the ballot box to make the difference. VOTE!! VOTE these guys out of office and let's try to repair the damage done to our country!!

so it seems that the left is going to try again to demonize the right by trying to categorize an entire group of people on the actions of a few. Over the last 10 days, the media has latched on to try and follow the lefts lead and make sure that they don't upset anyone that could bar them from an interview with the anointed one or a member of his court. This has become absurd. Where were all these people the last 8 years when there was daily mocking and threats made of Bush? and you can't tell me that it never happened because it is still happening today only now it is in the form of "it was all Bush's fault" or" Obama inherited these problems". But I digress. The left has taken that turn to the point of no return, where they have made a pact with the devil and will now do whatever it takes to get their agenda passed and make no mistake about it, their agenda is to make every single person in this country dependent on government. The only recourse we have now is at the ballot box. We do not need to stoop to their level and play these name calling games. Leave that to them. All we need to do to take this country back is to vote them out at the ballot box. Then we must begin to repair the damage that has been done to this country. I truly believe as many of the national talk show radio hosts do, that this upcoming midterm election is the single most important election since this country was founded. If we do not vote these people out of office and regain a majority of the house and senate then it could very well be the end of this country and the freedoms we have had over the past 200 years. It makes me sick to think of what our founding fathers went through to achieve this great accomplishment only to have it come to this. They were very wise and even warned us back then that this could happen in the future.

The left is a bit on edge I think about the November elections and because of this they have started to try and blame everything they can on the extreme right wing activist who promoote this horrible violence and spew this hateful rhetoric. Was it not just a few days ago that the only arrest made over the supposed threats made at congress, was it not a democrat left wing nut job who was arrested for threatening Eric Cantor of Virginia. Haven't heard to much about that in the media but you sure continue to hear how it is the extreme right wing who is causing all this trouble. But over last weekend when Sara Palin made a stop in Harry Reeds state for a speech, People were video taped throwing eggs at a tea party bus and yelling at Andrew Breitbart , and yelling at him "hateful things", yet no one sees this on the news. In fact There have been countless news reports of people ( the right) yelling derogatory things at blackj congressmen as well as spitting on anyone who voted against the health care bill. Reported but no evidence of this anywhere and Brietbart has offered a $10000 reward to any one who can provide a tape from that sunday when the health care vote took place. So far 2 weeks later, no evidence. I point all this out becasue i believe that the left has carefully orchestrated another attack on the right to try and divide people with in their own party or movement to start fighting amongst themselves. They want to break up this movement and cause a distraction from what is really going on which is people do not trust this government and are fed up with the shredding of this country. Why do you think that Nancy Pelosi has given instructions to her people to lay low during this 2 week Easter break, not to hold any town hall meetings, don't talk about health care. It's because they know we are pissed off about it. They don't want the "angry mobs" like they had in august. They want this thing to die down and hope that we will forget about it when November comes along. Why is the president out there still trying to sell this thing to America if it is so great and it passed then it should be selling itself, shouldn't it? You notice that he is still only talking about the immediate things that are happening, that he refuses to tell you what is really going to happen in 4 years. No mention of all the taxes that are going to have to be imposed not just on the "evil rich", but on everyone. No mention that everyones premiums are going to eventually go up especially the young person in theri 20's and 30's. why will premiums go up? The president said that they would come down. Let's take a look..... In 2014 it becomes a law that every single person in this country must have health care. If you don't then you will have to pay a fine. But I'm young, I'm healthy I haven't had to see a doctor in 5 years. Why should I have to buy Health insurance? So I look at what the insurance will cost me. Hmmm it looks like it is going to cost me $250 a month. Not bad, that's $3000 a year.. But wait if i dont buy it the government will fine me $750(or a percentage of my yearly income which will always be cheaper than buying insurance coverage.) That's a lot cheaper than $3000 so I'll just pay the fine. Maybe a lot of other people who have insurance figure this out too, not just young healthy people. It's cheaper for me to drop my insurance and pay the fine and plus if I get sick I can call up the insurance company and say hey I'm sick and need an operation and I need insurance and you cant deny me coverage now, it's the law. So the insurance company now has to cover you and pay your claim. Anyone who has been playing by the rules and has had health insurance is now seeing their premiums go up because so many people are dropping their coverage and only getting it when they need it. The insurance companies only have 2 choices, raise premiums on existing customers or go out of business. Which I belive is the long term goal of this administration, to run as many insurance companies out of business and finally get to their promised land of a single payer system. More depence on Government. that is what Barack Obama meant when he said in October of 2008, "We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America."

There is so much to say about this topic and the real agenda of this administration. Wouldn't you love to hear what is really said behind closed doors? It's gotta be really good because they have already said some of it in front of our faces. people who disagree with the health care bill have been called crazy right wing nut jobs, angry mobs, racist, just plain nuts; the left must use this tactic because they can not and will not debate this issue based on its merits, because they can't; they don't know how and because deep down they know it is a bad deal for everyone. Just today, Phil Hare of Illinois was caught on tape saying "I don't worry about the constitution" in response to a question from a constituent. the question was "where in the constitution doe s it say I am required to purchase health care?" And his response is I don't worry about the Constitution. I'm sorry, but don't the people we send to congress have to take an oath that they swear to uphold the Constitution of the United States? guess he didn't get the message from queen pelosi. Here's the clip.

Just a little voice from the past for thought as we are soon to be forced to buy health care. I have been listening all day to talk radio and I have to say that by the end of the day I am angry all over again listening to what the fall out is going to be with the signing of this health care bill. And just to be sure, I have read through all my web sites to verify what I have been hearing and frankly it makes me sick. Yes, I know that some of you out there blame talk radio for what you think is the cause of all the anger out there , that they incite the masses and spread lies. That's what i would expect. For example yesterday there was a clip I

found from Ed Schultz' radio show saying that he hoped that the democrats turn to the fairness doctrine and make talk radio more equal because there is just too much conservative rhetoric out there. He actually said "it's time for the democrats to turn to the fairness doctrine when you got Rush Limbaugh out there saying' We've got to defeat these bastards'. Maybe I'll get on 600 stations too or how ever many you own" Sounds like Ed is a little jealous that he doesn't have as many listeners as Rush. Maybe its because Ed is a loose cannon and is not entertaining? Hey Ed, news flash, when you are good you get listeners and when you get listeners you get sponsors. And the more sponsors you get the more money the stations make. It's called free speech and free enterprise.
Air America tried it and what happened to them? Oh yea they went Bankrupt. Fairness doctrine.....please. If you want fairness then start your own station, your own show and build an audience and get sponsors. The reason the liberal talk radio does not work is the American people don't want it. if they did, they would listen to it. Plus the fact that people who listen to talk radio are mostly of higher intelligence and capable of rational thought.....hmmm. I think I'll stop this rant here.

Now, how about our buddy down in Cuba who herald the passing of this health care bill yesterday. He actually called it "a miracle." Great. A communist dictator congratulating our President for passing a government run health care system. I don't think anything else needs to be said.

And now that the bill has passed let's remember that The President said while on the campaign trail and while in office that taxes would not increase for anyone making less than $200,000. Well the Heritage Foundation seems to find proof in the bill that says otherwise. Here is a chart of from the Heritage Foundation explaining tax increases for everyone regardless of income.
Oh, and by the way, it seems that Sen Max Baucus Dem-Montana agrees about this.

Is there ever a time when this guy speaks that he doesn't sound like he's drunk? It's inevitable. Somehow they have to pay for this thing and they know it. they knew it going in. why do you think that the president is out there now only touting what is happening immediately instead of down the road? And why do you think a lot of the elements of this bill are delayed until 2014? One reason...the 2012 elections. If they tried to implement all of this now all the American people would catch on and say uh oh, this isn't exactly what I signed up for. So the Dems get together and say lets put some small elements in place right now that wont cost us a lot but we will wait 4 years until after the election and then we'll hit them with the high cost items. When you sit down and look at it, it is not hard to figure out, but then again how many people are really paying attention? Well you better pay attention and fast. The zombies better wake up from their hypnotist sleep and realize that the country they once knew is quickly becoming Socialist if it isn't already and if the dems have their way it will only be a few more years before they realize their dreams of the true welfare state.

Sleep well.

Last night as i watching the evening news, NBC (Nothing But Crap) I began to wonder how long it would take until the news media and the democrats to exploit the threats made by a few nut jobs out there and lump all people on the right into this one category. It did not take long. In fact if you look at many of the political websites today you will find quite a few stories on how democrats are demanding that Republicans stand up and against these incidents of violence. Well, Republicans have denounced all the threats and say that any threat or violence against anyone is inexcusable. There is an ulterior motive here and it is the democrats will try to use this to gain momentum going into the fall. It is a plan to smear the uprising, mainly the TEA party movement and make them look like a bunch of nuts. They want to indict the entire group of people instead of focusing on the actions a a very few. It is nothing more than a smear tactic. It happened last year when the TEA party movement was founded and they were called an angry mob and it backfired on them. It emboldened the movement and it became stronger than it may have become otherwise.

Now, do I agree with the Health care bill that just passed? In case you could not tell, No, I do not. I think it is going to wreak economic havoc on this country not to mention the loss of more jobs and in the long run it will cause doctors to leave the business and insurance companies to go bankrupt. How? More on that later. The fact that I do not agree wit e bill does not give me or anyone else the right to go out there and show my displeasure with threats or violence. It is wrong and must be condemned and those responsible held accountable. However to try and use this as a political gain and blame all republicans for the actions of a few is deplorable. Have both sides done it? Yes, but not to the point that we have seen today. We have reached a point in this country where there is a great divide and it is a passionate divide. This has been building for years. There has always been division in this country but back in the early and mid 20th century it was met with a civil and respectful demeanor. But the corruption which has always existed at some level in the government began to grow during the 60's I believe and reached fever pitch in the last 14 months. The only difference now is that it is being exposed but no one seems to care, especially the media. They seem to intent on making sure they get that White House interview than they do actually reporting the news. Journalists used to ask the tough questions, but now most of them ask soft questions that wont get them banned from future interviews. And on the other side, the White house, until last week, refused to entertain any request from Fox news for an interview simply because Fox does not share the same views as this administration. And speaking of that interview last week, it was originally supposed to be 25 minutes and when the President sat down he said, "so I got you for the next 15 minutes", (sic) referring to Bret Baier. And no one seem to disagree about the time limit except for Baier, so they were most likely nervous about the questions that were about to come. And I must say the questions were tough but fair and the President, in my opinion danced around almost all of them. My point here is that The White House controls the Media. There is no objective journalism out there anymore. All the editorials that used to be on the nightly news in the 70's and early 80's have disappeared. thank God we have talk radio and Fox news that at least give us some taste of the other side of the facts.

Ok. That's enough of a rant for today. I said I would address how I think this health care bill will impact our economy. I will try and do that in another post. Until then......
